Doubletree Guest Suites Boston/WalthamI stayed here on a one night business trip in the fall of 2007. The trees were still clinging onto their last few beautiful orange and red leaves but the wind was blowing hard trying to scatter them. I didn't much time to explore the hotel - mostly just found the average bed and went to sleep. The hotel itself is build around a very nice internal courtyard. The rooms are large - a split suite with a couch and TV in one room and the bed in the other.
Naked FishI had a business dinner here during a short trip. The food was absolutely excellent and the service was great. Naturally I had a fish dish and it was just great. The ambiance was nice but very loud. It was quite difficult to hold a serious conversation with all the goings ons.
Holiday Inn Express SFOThis is an average airport hotel. The room was clean but not necessarily nice. The main selling point for this place is that it is located near the airport and has a free shuttle to/from the airport. I actually had a hard time finding the right shuttle to take because it was marked so poorly and, of course, the driver spoke no English. The desk staff was very helpful and the complimentary breakfast was fairly standard. There was a great restaurant nearby, Kuleto's Trattoria, that I would wholly recommend.
Kuleto's TrattoriaThis was a great restaurant that I encountered by dumb luck. I was meeting some coworkers for a dinner-meeting and they just Googled my hotel and picked the nearest restaurant. What a hidden gem! The food and service was excellent and the ambiance was relaxing and hospitable. I would highly suggest this to anyone!
La ChozaGreat restaurant with awesome food. The atmosphere is quaint and a bit rustic, but nice. Very authentic. Not your typical mass produced mexican food that comes out in 5 minutes after ordering. It is all hand made. I had an excellent chili relleno. Instead of rice, each dish comes with delicious pasole.
7 day western caribbean [disney]Disney. The best cruise line! They will jump through hoops to meet your satisfaction! Dont let it be deceiving, being the fact that it is disney, but it has just as much for little kids, to teens, to adults! You must choose disney! They have an incredible private island consisting of 3 beaches, family beach, teen beach & adult beach. You MUST go to the adult beach! It's the exact same to hawaii's beaches! Trust me! Absolutely stunning!
Horizons by Marriott OrlandoLocated less than 3 miles from Sea World and 10 miles from Disney World the Horizons by Marriott is a great place for a family vacation in Orlando. The kids (10 and 13) spent hours in one of the two pools while mom and dad sat quietly in one of several jacuzzis. I recommend breakfast at the Horizons Harborside Bar & Grill. The prices are reasonable and the food was plentiful and tasty. Except for the construction of new buildings to the north, the grounds were lush and beautiful. Each room includes a back porch that is completely screened in so the bugs won't join you.
Embassy Suites - MauiIf going to Hawaii and you have kids, I suggest staying at the Embassy Suites in Maui. This hotel was perfect because it has two rooms (instead of a one room hotel) and our son could take his nap in the bedroom without being disturbed. This hotel also had a nice kids pool and beach. They had a happy hour each night with free drinks and snacks which was a bonus. They had a nanny service which we used one day in order to take a snorkel excursion. |
